COMPANY INFORMATION
EMERGALERT
was established on the 5th January 1998.
The concept began after
EMERGALERT
CEO and founder, Don, spent many years driving fire appliances to life
threatening emergencies. He constantly experienced general road users failing to give way.
This was costing precious time, adding to minutes, in emergency response
when every second counts.
Don has personally been involved in 2 accidents enroute to emergencies. This was
due to drivers being unaware of the presence of the emergency vehicle and
failing to give clear passage.
"People don't expect to see emergency vehicles
coming from nowhere, and especially not on the wrong side of the road or
entering an
intersection against red traffic signals".
"It is hazardous
driving emergency vehicles. We are regularly impeded by general road users who
just don't see or hear us earlier enough. Something needed to be done!".
EMERGALERT
will
save lives and property and create a safer community for all. It will
significantly increase emergency service workers OH&S, whilst responding
to life threatening emergencies.
The
EMERGALERT
partners are career firefighters and have
over 60 years experience between them. They will
benefit first hand from his invention, and are best positioned to understand what the
end users need to
create a clearer road ahead.
