EMERGALERT transmits a tone and verbal warning signal over the entire
standard AM and FM radio bands. This message is received by the
general public’s motor vehicle radio.
The unit is
only fitted to authorised emergency vehicles, such as
police, fire, and ambulance.
Nothing
extra is required to be fitted in the general road user's car.
EMERGALERT's advanced technology allows it to be
programmed in any language. The effective range is 300metres,
which is more than
four times greater than a siren's effective sound penetration.
Drivers
hear via their radio, that an emergency vehicle is
approaching long before they hear the sirens or see the flashing lights. This message will
cease after the emergency vehicle
passes.

EMERGALERT
is only fitted to authorised emergency vehicles. Whilst responding to an emergency with sirens activated, this
technology will temporarily override vehicle radios within 300metres with a
tone followed by a verbal message.
This message will be
repeated every 4 seconds whilst the car is in front, or to the side of the
emergency vehicle. This message will cease after the emergency vehicle passes and return
the car the radio to its normal AM/FM
station.
Motorists will have
advanced warning of emergency vehicles, enabling them to make every effort to
give way, saving valuable time when lives depend on an immediate response
by emergency services.
EMERGALERT includes an EVL
(Emergency Vehicle Locator) which automatically activates alerting
2 or more emergency vehicles equipped with
EMERGALERT of the other's
presence whilst they are enroute to an emergency and within 600 metres of each other.
EMERGALERT includes a unique
automatic feature to stop two appliances within the broadcast range of each other
from causing interference.
EMERGALERT
can also be optioned with a pursuit mode for use during police
pursuits. Also available for police is the
silent approach mode which increases Police OH&S and improves
the safety of general road users in these instances.
EMERGALERT
can be
programmed for any language.
"Every second counts in
an emergency- It's the difference between life and death. Lives are
being put at risk by drivers who do not get out of the way of emergency
vehicles"
